In silence we feel alive.
It was dark and rainy. They were inside the car heading to a place where they always go. They were both tired and the physical exhaustion was the reason for their silence. The only sound was the music from the stereo and the pouring of the rain. The rain was pouring hard as if the stereo drowned because of the heavy shower. Words could have been said but they chose not to speak. They just held hands and never let go of each other.
Finally, she leaned her head on his shoulder. She looked at him and he smiled back. She didn’t say anything. All she wanted was to cling to him and need him. She didn’t want anything else because it was exactly everything she wanted.
She knew he felt the same.
Finally, they reached their destination. She had to go, and so did he. It was frustrating because she doesn’t want to leave his side. It was all she ever wanted to do, it was everything that meant to her.
He just squeezed her hand, pulled her closer as she squeezed back.
They both wished they never parted.
