For most children the perya or carnival means fun and games and a good time but for some people, their livelihood depends on the people who come.
Last term, we had to work on a short documentary about the concept of perya and honestly, I never almost get to go to these kind of places due to maybe because it’s far or I can only see a few around. We got to interview people, know about their life, and everything else about it.
What I can only say is, some have worked there for years already. At some point, it became their home, treated their life as a ferris wheel that goes round and round. But in spite of their not so fortunate life, they still make the most out of what they already have and it’s inspiring.
